This necklace is entirely handcrafted in silver. It was inspired by a very unique building and its ornament called “Under the Spider”. The tenement house, that can be found right at the heart of Krakow on Karmelicka Street, was designed by Teodor Talowski, one of the most remarkable Polish architects of the late 19th century.
Talowski, often referred to as “the Polish Gaudí”, worked mainly in the eclectic and neo-Gothic styles, blending brickwork, stone details, and whimsical symbolism into his creations. He designed many of Krakow’s most distinctive townhouses between the 1880s and early 1900s, each with its own name, story, and personality. “Under the Spider” is one of his best-known works, a blend of fantasy, craftsmanship, and mystery.
- The necklace is entirely handmade in sterling silver (.925) and fine silver (.999), sourced from sellers based in Krakow and Birmingham.
- Silver chain is 18''-20'' (45-50cm) with a spring ring clasp.
- A little gemstone adorns the necklace (called Night of Cairo, sourced from a seller in India).
