CARING FOR JEWELLERY

Detailed care instructions will be added to your order.

Please note that all handmade jewellery pieces are delicate and should be handled with care. Remember to avoid contact with water and remove your pieces when swimming, washing hands/dishes, being sport active or taking a shower. Store the jewellery in the dry containers/boxes or bags. For cleaning use proper polishing cloth or special cleaning and polishing solutions.

  • SILVER JEWELLERY:

- Clean pieces without stones and patina (dark blackening) using polishing cloth or silver jewellery cleaning solution.
- Pieces with stones and patina are more fragile and can be damaged (removed) by solutions, clean those gently using warm soapy water and polishing cloth and pat dry immediately.

Please note that tarnishing is a natural process. It is perfectly normal for sterling silver to darken and tarnish, and this process can happen faster when metal is in contact with moisture, perfumes, body lotions or humidity. Please make sure your silver jewellery is kept away from moisture and water, and cleaned properly when tarnished.

MATERIALS

The materials I use for each jewellery piece are always detailed in the item's listing. I use only natural gemstones, sterling and fine silver, occasionally brass and gold metal. The materials are always sourced by me and I carefully choose my suppliers. I make sure they all comply with fair trade and provide safe work environment.

HALLMARKS:

Under Polish regulations for hallmarking, jewelry made from platinum, gold, and silver must undergo inspection and receive hallmarks at the Assay Office when:

  • a single piece of jewelry made from a silver alloy surpasses 5 grams in weight;
  • a single piece of jewelry made from gold or platinum alloy weighs more than 1 gram.

Items that do not exceed the specified weights are exempt from hallmarking requirements, and as a result, they typically do not bear any hallmarks from the Assay Office.
