Stardust Mine is an artisan, slow made jewellery, lovingly handcrafted in my art studio in Krakow, a historic city in Southern Poland. Here you will find dreamy, elegant and storytelling designs, inspired by nature, illustrations, art and astronomy.
Stardust Mine jewellery is meant to help express and manifest the unique personality and style of the wearer.
Who is THE MAKER?
My name is Basia, I'm an art historian, jewellery designer and a self taught metalsmith. I'm fascinated by traditional jewellery making techniques, historical jewellery designs and the use of gemstones in jewellery art. I share my passion, experience and knowledge through videos on my YouTube channel, The Art Of Metalsmithing (100k+)
As an artisan, I aspire for my work to be crafted through a slow-making process.
What is SLOW MADE?
In the artisan jewellery industry, 'slow made' refers to a production approach that emphasizes the handcrafted, thoughtful, and deliberate creation of each piece of jewellery. The process involves using traditional techniques and tools, as well as a deep understanding and appreciation of the materials being used.
Unlike mass-produced jewellery, where pieces are churned out quickly using machines and assembly lines, slow made jewellery takes time and care to create. Each piece is unique, with its own individual characteristics and imperfections that reflect the artisan's personal touch.
Slow made jewellery also tends to prioritize sustainability, using ethically-sourced materials and minimizing waste.
The focus on quality over quantity makes slow made jewellery more valuable and meaningful to those who appreciate the artisanal process and the resulting craftsmanship.
Three VALUES you can expect from the jewellery I make for you:
QUALITY - I exclusively use carefully sourced, natural gemstones, which may take time to find, but their exceptional quality and uniqueness are worth it.
ETHICAL SOURCING - I use only fair trade and ethically sourced metals for your jewellery, ensuring workers' rights and conditions are respected.
ONE-OF-A-KIND - I create one-of-a-kind jewelry by translating my vision from paper to metal, based on my own drawings.
